School of World Politics
WELCOME TO SCHOOL OF WORLD POLITICS AT LOMONOSOV MOSCOW STATE UNIVERSITY
WHO WE ARE
The School of World Politics provides training for Russian and foreign students in INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS (41.03.05 – Bachelor’s programme, 41.04.05 – Master’s programme, 5.5.4 – Postgraduate programme). About 200 international students from 30 countries around the world are enrolled onto the School programmes, accounting for over 15% of the total number of students.
The School of World Politics was founded in 2003 with the support of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Currently, the President of the School of World Politics is Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky, Doctor of Economics, Chairman of the RF State Duma Committee on International Affairs. The Dean of the School is Olga Mikhailovna Alexandria, Associate Professor, PhD in Politics.

OUR MISSION
Education at the School of World Politics is based on an interdisciplinary integrated approach to the study of a wide range of world politics issues and is aimed at developing students' abilities of analytical and critical thinking, as well as identifying cause-effect relations in various historical contexts.
WHAT WE STUDY
The School students specialize in national and international security, integration and cooperation, conflict management, international information exchange and public diplomacy, as well as regional aspects of world politics. The School of World Politics trains specialists in international affairs with extensive knowledge in history, political science, economics, law, philosophy and sociology.
Also, students choose among 10 foreign languages starting in the first term of Year 1 and running till the end of the programme. Usually a combination makes Russian plus a European language of a student’s choice.
Training is conducted in Russian.
«EXPERT AND ANALYTICAL SUPPORT OF FOREIGN POLICY ACTIVITIES» PROGRAMME (In English)
Scientific Supervisor is Professor Liudmila Minaeva, Doctor of Philology, Head of International Communication Department, School of World Policy.
The program is aimed at training highly qualified experts in the field of international relations, possessing all the necessary skills and competencies to professionally solve a wide range of problems in the field of analytical work faced by government agencies, businesses and non-governmental organizations operating in the global space.
The program offers a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of modern approaches to managing international relations in the field of foreign policy and business based on expert analysis of international trends, situations and problems in the context of a changing world order.
The program is implemented in English.
