Joint LMSU and MGIMO Master Program "Post-Soviet Public Policy"
MA in Post-Soviet Public Policy is an English-taught Degree, which is run jointly by the faculty of political science of Lomonosov Moscow state University and the faculty of governance and politics of MGIMO . After completing the program, students receive two diplomas: the diploma of Lomonosov Moscow state University in political science and the diploma of Moscow State Institute of International Relations in public policy.
The curriculum of the program is designed by a team of Russian and foreign professors. One of the academic supervisors of the program is prof. Robert legwold, ex. Director of the Harriman Institute at Columbia University. The curriculum of the program includes a large number of applied disciplines, as well as courses that will allow students to become unique and well-trained specialists in a narrow but popular field.
The master's program "Post-Soviet Public Policy" will be conducted in ENGLISH. Its implementation involves teachers from Lomonosov MSU, MGIMO, as well as invited lecturers from leading foreign universities, such as Beijing, Columbia, Oxford universities, Sciences Po, the University of Amsterdam, and many others.
PolitIQ Scholarships
The PolitIQ educational project provides annual scholarships for prospective students. Students of all nationalities are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The curriculum of "Post-Soviet Public Policy" MA program is elaborated in a way to train future experts, who will be able to work on complex policy issues, keeping in mind specific features of the region. There are three main types of courses, offered on the program: fundamental, obligatory and optionalcourses. Fundamental courses are dedicated to general political science problems and methods, while obligatory and optional courses are focused on specific topics in post-soviet public policy.

  • Comparative analysis of political processes and institutes;
  • Methodology of Political Science Research;
  • History of Politics;
  • Social and Psychological Aspects of Political Process;
  • Megatrends and Global Issues.
    Obligatory courses:

    • Policy-making in Post-Soviet countries;
    • Modern Political Administration;
    • Social and Political Risks of International Business;
    • Political Economy in Post-Soviet countries;
    • International Security Issues in World Politics and Post-Soviet Space.
    Optional courses:

    • Energy and Infrastructure Policy;
    • Nationalism in Soviet and Post-Soviet Space;
    • Political Islam in Post-Soviet Countries;
    • Political Regimes in Central Asia: Post-Soviet Space;
    • Social Policy;
    • Constitutional Law in CIS countries;

        Tuition(2020 – 2021)
        • 383,500 rubles per academic year (2 semesters) for Russian citizens;
        • 418 470 rubles per academic year for foreigners (2 semesters);
        • Students of the program have the opportunity to apply for the Scholarship named after A.S. Panarin. The Scholarship can cover up to 100% of tuition fees.
