MSU Virtual Open Day
Faculty of Chemistry
Info Session for international applicants (April 21, 2024)
MSc "Project Management in the Field of Decommissioning of Nuclear Facilities (including Radioactive Waste Management)"
In the nuclear industry decommissioning is the area of concern. Only 35% of decommissioning projects are carried out successfully. Having taken into consideration the aforementioned fact, LMSU Faculty of Chemistry introduced a brand-new Master's program together with the State Atomic Energy Corporation "ROSATOM" in 2019.
MSc ''Master in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry (including Project Management)''
Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry is interdisciplinary program, which is aimed to advanced studies in radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine as well as in project management in these areas.
The program was introduced together with ROSATOM in September 2021.
MSc ''Master in Spent Nuclear Fuel management''
Students will receive a set of knowledge, including methods of handling spent nuclear fuel, rules and regulations when working with spent nuclear fuel, control methods, transportation features, and will also get acquainted with world practices in the field of spent nuclear fuel management. All this knowledge, including the basics of radiochemistry, radiation safety, will allow the formation of a cross-competence approach.
The program was introduced together with TENEX (Rosatom) and Belarusian State University in 2023.
